We are pleased to have John Nilsen join us for the show this week. John tours extensively and this enormously talented pianist has performed on stage at Music Mondays @ the Lake Theater & Café three times in the last 24 months. The first two performances were with his band, Swimfish. The third, on October 28, 2019, found John on stage, as a solo act. We look forward to catching up with John, please join us!

We are pleased to have Chris and Duffy join us for the show this week. In addition to being long time friends, Dean has performed with them for over 10 years in the Pacific Northwest. Chris and Duffy have their own facebook live show every Friday but they are currently taking a break so we are really excited to have them join us for an interview!

Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes is a musician, writer, naturalist, park ranger, ethnographic photographer, and actor from Saline County. He currently lives in New Orleans and is the leader of the Northside Skull and Bones Gang, continuing a tradition that dates to 1819. Dean and Sunpie connected at the Centrum Blues workshop and festival in Port Townsend where they have performed together many times over the years.

This week’s show will feature and interview with their long time friend and musician Phil Wiggins. Phil is a blues musician, teacher and artistic director, AND a two time winner of the prestigious WC Handy Blues Foundation awards. He is only the third harmonica player to receive the lifetime honor of an NEA National Heritage Fellowship.

Our guest interview this week is Portland’s iconic performer and band leader Norman Sylvester. Norman Sylvester “The Boogie Cat” was Inducted into the Oregon Music Hall Of Fame and has countless “Muddy Awards” to his credit.
